Bryce Canyon has some of the best glamping in Utah: glass stargazing domes, safari tents with actual beds instead of cots, you name it. But the listings never tell you what matters most when you're planning from 2,000 miles away.
Is it open in October? Does it have a king bed or two twins shoved together? And how far is it, really, from Bryce, Escalante, and Brian Head?
I plan proposals and shoots all over this corner of Utah, so I've scouted every one of these. Here's the breakdown, no fluff: five spots, side by side, with the details you're Googling at midnight.

1. Under Canvas Bryce Canyon: Luxury Safari Tents, Every Tent Has a King
If you want “glamping” to mean a king bed, a wood-burning stove, and a private deck under a sky with zero light pollution, this is the one.
Under Canvas sits on 700 acres of high-alpine juniper forest at 7,600 feet. Every single tent type sleeps you on a king: the Deluxe, the Stargazer (it has a viewing window right over the bed), the Suite, and the Hoodoo Suite. No “which room has the good bed” gamble here.
King bed? Yes, all tents.
Price: From about $375 to $1,189/night depending on tent and date.
Season: Early May to late September. In 2026 that's May 7–September 28. Closed all winter.

The catch: it's summer-only and it's the priciest tent option once you're past the base rate. But for a proposal or an anniversary, waking up in that Stargazer tent is hard to beat.
2. Clear Sky Resorts – Bryce Canyon: Glass Stargazing Domes, Open All Year
This is the year-round splurge. Clear Sky's geodesic glass domes are climate-controlled (AC and heat), so you can do this in January and still be warm while it snows on the hoodoos outside.
Most of the domes (Lil Dipper, Aires, Starlink, Big Dipper, Stardust, Nova) are built for two on a king bed with a rainfall shower and a private deck. The Gemini is the exception (two queens), and the bigger family domes add twin lofts. So if you want a king, you've got plenty of options, just don't book the Gemini by accident.

The catch: it's the top of the price range, and it's 20 minutes out in Cannonville rather than right at the park. But those glass ceilings for stargazing? Worth the drive.
3. Bryce Glamp and Camp: Year-Round Domes Without the Top-Shelf Price
Think of this as the middle path: year-round geodesic domes like Clear Sky, but the starting rates land a couple hundred dollars lower.
It's a cluster of 13 luxury domes in Cannonville. Many of them (domes 1, 2, 6, 7, 11, 12, and the 13–17 block) come with a king bed plus a queen sofa sleeper, so there's room if you're bringing a friend or a kid. A handful (3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10) are queen-based instead, so check the specific dome before you book if a king is non-negotiable. Dome 7 is the ADA-accessible one. There's also a 3-bed, 2-bath house on the property if you're rolling with a bigger group.

Season: Open year-round (domes 1 & 2 usually close January to early March).

The catch: king availability is dome-by-dome, so read the listing carefully. But dollar for dollar, this is the sweet spot for a year-round dome with a full-size king bed.
4. Wander Camp Bryce Canyon–Escalante: The Budget Pick That Still Has a King
Here's the one that surprises people. Wander Camp is the cheapest true glamping option on this list and you can still get a king bed.
It's a 40-acre off-grid camp on Scenic Byway 12 near Tropic/Cannonville: canvas safari tents with clean linens, showers, and flush toilets in shared facilities. The King Tent gives you one king. The Family Tent is a king plus a twin. (The Twin and Triple tents are all twin beds, so skip those if you're a couple.) By its own directions, it's about 15 minutes from the Bryce visitor center and 30 minutes from Escalante, central to both.
King bed? Yes, King Tent (1 king) and Family Tent (king + twin).
Price: From about $131 to $237/night.
Season: Late April to late October.

5. Ruby's Inn Campground: The Basecamp Right at the Park Entrance
Not every trip needs a king-size splurge. If you just want to be a two-minute drive from the Bryce amphitheater and spend your money on experiences instead, this is your spot.
Ruby's Inn Campground sits less than a mile from the park entrance. You've got 240+ shaded tent and RV sites, camper cabins, and authentic tipis under the ponderosa pines. Heads up though: the camper cabins are two double beds bunk-style (no king here), and you bring your own bedding. The tipis sleep 6–8 and are BYO bedding too.
King bed? No, camper cabins have two doubles; tipis are bring-your-own-bedding.
Price: Budget campground pricing; rates aren't posted online, so call for the current night.
Season: April 1 to October 30 (limited first-come winter sites).

The catch: it's a plain campground, not a glamping resort, and there's no king bed. But nothing else here gets you this close to the park for this little.
If you want a king bed no matter what, four of the five deliver: everything except Ruby's.
If you're coming in winter or shoulder season, only Clear Sky Resorts and Bryce Glamp and Camp are open year-round.
If you want luxury and you're here in summer, Under Canvas is the move.
If you're watching the budget but still want an actual bed, Wander Camp.
And if you want to be closest to the park for the least money, Ruby's Inn Campground.
One more note on Brian Head: none of these are close to it: you're looking at roughly a 1.5-to-1.75-hour drive from all five. If Brian Head is on the itinerary in any serious way (skiing, Cedar Breaks), plan it as a separate day, not a morning hop.

How far is glamping near Bryce Canyon from Escalante?
The Cannonville camps (Clear Sky, Bryce Glamp and Camp, Wander Camp) are the closest to Escalante: roughly 30–50 minutes. Under Canvas and Ruby's Inn are farther, around 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. All of them sit along Scenic Byway 12, one of only a handful of roads in the country designated an All-American Road, so even the drive between camps and Escalante is part of the scenery.
Is there glamping between Bryce Canyon and Escalante?
Yes, the Cannonville spots sit right on Scenic Byway 12 between the two. Wander Camp Bryce Canyon–Escalante is named for just that, about 15 minutes from Bryce and 30 from Escalante. Cannonville itself sits right at the northern boundary of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, so you're staying at the literal edge of both.
How far is Bryce Canyon glamping from Brian Head?
All five are roughly 1.5 to 1.75 hours from Brian Head: it's about 63 miles from the park itself. Brian Head is worth the separate trip, though: at 9,800 feet it's the highest town in Utah, and it sits about three miles from Cedar Breaks National Monument, whose amphitheater rim tops 10,000 feet. Under Canvas or Clear Sky Resorts: which is better for a couple?
